,a song by ‘3 DOORS DOWN’, some lyrics below.
Yes, we are all facing that deficit. As a young man in my twenties those last days were so far away that the concept was beyond comprehension. I am much closer now, the time is shorter but the understanding has matured.
Why do we have so many projects and chores on our dance card with no time to properly finish any of them? Of course, we have only ourselves to blame - the too busy life that is the hiding place from that stark reality of our eventual passing.
Let us live life today, not yesterday and not tomorrow. Let us get out of our cave and step up to the plate and start swinging at this game we call life. A daily life filled with positive and rational thoughts will insure us a prosperous and fulfilling future. The past is but a ghost filled with both victory and defeat but it is gone, gone, gone.
Live life now- not those past now’s nor those future now’s. Engage today’s now.
I have some homework for you. Sit and be still. Shut your eyes. Tell your mind to stop, stop, stop. Feel your breathing, become aware of your surroundings, the sounds and the spirits. Once again tell your mind to stop, stop, stop. Fill you with the now, fill your heart with it. Reach for freedom, freedom from your nagging mind and its ego and agendas. Engage the peace before you. Fill your heart with this peace.
One must desire a tranquil life as it will not come and just invade you. You must go for it. You must work for it. You must leave the crap behind and charge forward into the fray with confidence, courage, determination and discernment.
Do It! On one’s eightieth birthday one will have lived for 29,200 days. How many hundreds or thousands of days do you have left? Why not make each one of them another day in Paradise.
-some lyrics
There’s too much work and I’m spent
There’s too much pressure and I'm bent
I got no time to move ahead
Have you heard one thing that I’ve said
And all these little things in life they all create this haze
There’s too many things to get done, and I’m running out of days
There’s too much pressure and I'm bent
I got no time to move ahead
Have you heard one thing that I’ve said
And all these little things in life they all create this haze
There’s too many things to get done, and I’m running out of days
