The Daily Commute

is a time to… delve into past memories and formulate a few words and notions about the present. An early morning time with few distractions and the solitude of the open road- or is it a closed road to the job only?

The green and white signs telling those who observe them what direction to proceed- the billboards with the messages of beer-burgers-and-automobiles and the implied 'rush right down and buy, buy, buy'. Yes, the almighty buy-buy-buy that keeps it all afloat. We all sell-sell-sell of ourselves, our time, blood, sweat and tears to exchange for the desired buy products (is buy a disease?)

I invariably consider and decry the huge block of time the job takes from my available, useful time. Why do I do it? How was I conned into spending fifty years of my life pursuing this goal? This goal of 'acquire'- the continual passing vacant euphoria of the acquiring of goods- the temporal sensation of satisfaction with being and life. Humm,,,

Note to self – no more negative posts, stay positive.  OK?
